Instant Pot Sausage Breakfast Casserole
I don’t know if you’re new around here or not, but we make a lot of casseroles around here. To feed everyone at a big family table, you truly have to be creative with the resources that you do have. This recipe is huge and will feed a ton of people. If that’s what you’re looking for, then you’re going to love knowing how to make delicious breakfast!
Ingredients for Sausage Breakfast Casserole
For this recipe, the biggest thing you’re going to need is an Instant Pot. If you have an Instant Pot, great! I love this recipe too because the ingredients are so minimal. You don’t need a ton of items to make it!
Bulk sausage – Most big families buy their meat in bulk if they can. I find that it’s cheaper to buy meat in bulk because the price is always better. This recipe calls for two pounds of bulk sausage, browned and drained.
Eggs – Now, this recipe calls for a lot of eggs, but you’ll be so glad you made it. We’re talking 20 whole eggs! That’s a lot of eggs, but it’s going to feed a whole lot of people. Plus, imagine all of the good nutrients your family is getting from this recipe thanks to these eggs.
Cheddar cheese – I am a firm believer in adding cheese to anything that I can. As you can see, this recipe also calls for cheese. You’re going to love the finished product of adding cheese to your casserole.
Let’s not forget this recipe also calls for salt, pepper, and heavy cream, and a cup of water. Probably my favorite part of this whole recipe is that you can make it in the Instant Pot. If you don’t have an Instant Pot, this simple recipe may just be enough to convince you to get one.
How to Store Instant Pot Sausage Breakfast Casserole
I like to stock up on airtight containers for this very reason. When I do have leftovers, I want to store them in the fridge. For something like this, you might want to invest in individual containers because then they can be pulled out for whenever someone gets hungry.
Otherwise, you can simply place leftovers in an airtight container and pull it out for heating up. You can keep it in the fridge for 3-5 days before tossing the uneaten leftovers. I’ve never had to toss any because they always get eaten up at my house.
Have you ever made this recipe before? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and if your large family loved it!
