What You Need to Make the Large Family Ham and Asparagus Casserole

There are certain ingredients that you will need to make the Large Family Ham and Asparagus Casserole, including:

  • Radiatore Pasta. Cook the pasta as directed on the package and make sure to drain it before adding it to your casserole dish.
  • Ham. Chop your favorite ham into small cubes to add with the pasta and other ingredients.
  • Fresh Asparagus. Cut your asparagus into 1-inch pieces before adding it in with the pasta and ham.
  • Chicken Broth. Use chicken broth to add a creamy texture and more flavor to the dish. Try making a whole chicken in the instant pot and use the broth.
  • French Fried Onions. These tasty onions add the perfect crunch and taste great when added on top of the casserole.

Other ingredients to have when making this casserole include onion, butter, all-purpose flour, dried thyme, black pepper, milk, and lemon juice.

How to Store and Save Your Ham and Asparagus Casserole

If you want to store your Large Family Ham and Asparagus Casserole in the fridge or freezer, prepare it as you normally would. However, do not put the French fried onions on top.

After you put the ingredients together, you can cover the casserole dish tightly with a sheet of aluminum foil or place it in an airtight container before placing it in your fridge for up to two days or in place this meal in the freezer for two months.

When you are ready to heat it in the oven, you may then place the French fried onions on top to ensure that they will stay crispy instead of becoming too soft and soggy.
