Even when we ‘know in our knower’ what is important, what do we do if we find ourselves in a season of being dry and weary? Have you ever awakened just to think, “I wish it was time to go back to bed?” Honestly, I’ve had those mornings. And as moms, we don’t know how we got there. We don’t have the time or energy to evaluate the situation-we just know we need help, and lots of it.
The only way that I can keep it together, most days,
is having a Bible verse that I meditate on throughout the day.
All day long, I grip my verse, clinging to its truth. I roll it in my mind and heart. I let the truth of God’s Word penetrate my dry and weariness. And that’s what He reminds us in His Word.
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
But I forget sometimes too.
During my time with the Lord this morning, two verses popped out at me that I felt impressed to share with you today. If you’re feeling dry today, please pick one. Write it down and post it in the places of your home where you frequent often. Write it on your hand it you need to. Don’t let the problems, concerns, deadlines, family stress-anything-take over your thoughts. Focus on your verse-be militant about it.
“I love you O Lord, My Strength.” Psalms 18:1 NIV
“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” Psalms 18:32 NIV
Just think what a powerful day you’ll have, if all you think of is “I love you O Lord, My Strength.” I believe within a short period of time you will find yourself in His perfect peace.
I pray for you friend that you find all you need in Jesus today.
