Even when we âknow in our knowerâ what is important, what do we do if we find ourselves in a season of being dry and weary? Have you ever awakened just to think, âI wish it was time to go back to bed?â Honestly, Iâve had those mornings. And as moms, we donât know how we got there. We donât have the time or energy to evaluate the situation-we just know we need help, and lots of it.
The only way that I can keep it together, most days,
is having a Bible verse that I meditate on throughout the day.
All day long, I grip my verse, clinging to its truth. I roll it in my mind and heart. I let the truth of Godâs Word penetrate my dry and weariness. And thatâs what He reminds us in His Word.
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
But I forget sometimes too.
During my time with the Lord this morning, two verses popped out at me that I felt impressed to share with you today. If youâre feeling dry today, please pick one. Write it down and post it in the places of your home where you frequent often. Write it on your hand it you need to. Donât let the problems, concerns, deadlines, family stress-anything-take over your thoughts. Focus on your verse-be militant about it.
âI love you O Lord, My Strength.â Psalms 18:1 NIV
âIt is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.â Psalms 18:32 NIV
Just think what a powerful day youâll have, if all you think of is âI love you O Lord, My Strength.â I believe within a short period of time you will find yourself in His perfect peace.
I pray for you friend that you find all you need in Jesus today.Â
