Brand new for each weekend on FHD I’m sharing a special video series of our homeschool family activities, adventures, mishaps, and daily life called, Our Homeschool Life. I’m doing this because on my old blog for several years I shared a weekly wrap-up post that gave a fun run down of our week. That’s actually how I started blogging!

My husband really misses those posts. Plus, I miss how I use to leave the camcorder sitting on our kitchen counter to capture little snippets of our life during ordinary parts of the day. Those are our most treasured family movies.  I’m trying to get back into recording our journey on purpose and I thought a weekly video series for FHD would be a perfect way to do so. It should make my hubby happy which is win/win! I hope you enjoy this weekly video series as well.

Below you’ll find several of my favorite pictures from the past week and more activities mentioned in the video above.

Here is a picture of our daughter Naomi and the first official daffodil of the year! Several of the daffodils have bloomed by the end of the week. The tulips are next – so excited!

This week we prepared for our homeschool group’s annual project fair called the X-Fair. Kids in our homeschool group picked one topic that they studied so far this year. They prepared a project based on their topic of choice. The event was held in a cafeteria, very much like you may remember science fairs. In the picture above our son Jadin worked diligently creating a hand drawn map of Normandy for World War II history. He used this map on his project board for the homeschool fair.

In this picture Jadin is decked out in his 101st Air Borne uniform for his project on WWII. He’s holding baby sister, Amelia Elaine, too.

Here is a picture of Jadin, Gabriel, Naomi, Liam, and Zion at the project fair. Jadin’s project was on World World II. Naomi created a Little House on the Prairie story board. Zion’s project was on Lego Building Tips and he created a Lego shadow box.

One morning this week the weather was so lovely and the sky so bright that we found our morning walk to our country pond naturally turned into a lizard catching (and as you can see in the video a “mud falling”) morning.  That’s what showers and washers/dryers are for, right?

Friday evening we ended our week with our weekly “Party Night,” that included family board games, homemade macaroni and cheese, watching the Frozen movie from RedBox, and a living room camp out attempt that ended with everyone falling asleep while reading Prince Caspian in Mom and Dad’s bed.

Watch more snippets from our week on YouTube and be sure to subscribe so you never miss a new video on homeschooling, motherhood, or family life!

I’m linking up with the Weekly Wrap-Up at Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers and Collage Friday at Homegrown Learners!
