If you enjoy sweet and savory meals, try this Large Family Slow Cooker Tropical Pork Chops recipe. It contains pork loin chops, mixed fruit, and other flavorful ingredients you can add to your slow cooker.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 to 12 boneless pork loin chops
  • 4 23.5 ounce jars refrigerated mixed tropical fruit, drained well
  • 1 lime zest and juice
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup sliced green onion
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
  • ¼ cup slivered toasted almonds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients EXCEPT the cilantro and almonds into the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for about 6 hours or until the pork chops are cooked through.
  • Add the Cilantro and almonds as a garnish before serving if desired.

Notes

How to freeze:  Place all ingredients EXCEPT the cilantro and almonds in an airtight container or freezer bag. Freeze up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Transfer ingredients to the prepared slow cooker and follow the directions about to cook.
