Homestead Tour + 2023 Garden Plans
Join me today in my video where I take you around our homestead to give you a tour of our gardens and talk about our 2023 garden plans!
We do ALL. The. Gardening. Things. First, we take a peek at my flower beds around the house where we take a look at daffodils, lilies, and mega & lots of Hostas! We discuss my poison ivy situation, too. What are we going to do with that?
Then, we walk over to the beautiful space that will eventually become our MEGA organic garden!! Yes & Amen!!
I purchased 50 strawberry plants for a dollar each from a nice lady on Facebook Marketplace. Getting these in the ground is number one on my big projects for the day. I grab my gardening square and we get to work!!
As I work, I answer some of your homestead questions like:
- “Are we raising meat birds?”
- “Do we have a compost pile?”
- “Do we have a greenhouse?”
- And so much more!!
And the homestead tour wouldn’t be complete without a surprise guests! Meet Pecky the Chicken, some duck friends, more chickens on a log, goats, kune kunes, and our little gardening kitties hang out with me, too.
You’ll also see piles of cardboard everywhere, which we will use in our wood chip area of our garden and our lasagna garden. Oh, friends, this is going to be such a fun adventure, so stay tuned for mega & lots more garden fun this season!!
