Cornbread in the Bread Machine Recipe
In my video on how I cook Mr. Travis’s favorite meal, which is beans and rice with cornbread, I showed you how I make my cornbread in the bread machine. I have had so many requests from you guys to tell you how I make my cornbread in the bread machine recipe that I figured it was high time I actually got it all written out.

Hot, Fresh Cornbread with minimal effort. A perfect accompaniment to beans and rice.
Ingredients
1 cup milk
4 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cups white flour
1 cup cornmeal
2 tsp baking powder
cooking spray
Instructions
Spray bread machine pan with cooking spray.
Add ingredients to bread pan in order listed.
Set bread machine to quick bread or express bake, depending on your machine’s settings.
As the machine begins to mix ingredients, use a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides of the bread pan so that the flour doesn’t stick to the sides.
I feel like I should add a warning to this recipe: includes white flour and sugar! As I figure out the best way to use these machines to make my life easier, I will be including some white flour and sugar in some of my recipes. If you are trying to avoid these items, feel free to play around with the recipe and really make it your own. This is what works for my family but you know your family, so do what works for you!
