Large Family Italian Peppered Beef Roast Instant Pot Freezer Meal | Low Carb, Keto, Trim Healthy Mama, Slow Cooker, too!

This large family recipe puts a different spin on Beef Roast.I made two freezer meals of the Italian Peppered Beef Roasts on my last freezer cooking day when I made 50 Keto Instant Pot Freezer Meals for my large family. I make this recipe in my 8 qt Instant Pot. Here are my must-have freezer cooking supplies for large family freezer cooking if you’re interested.

Large Family Italian Peppered Beef Roast Instant Pot Freezer Meal | Low Carb, Keto, Trim Healthy Mama, Slow Cooker, too!

Ingredients

You will need the following total ingredients to make two large family freezer meals:

  • Two – 3 to 4 lb chuck roasts
  • Two – 12 oz jars of whole pepperoncini with the liquid
  • 1 large diced onion
  • 2 tbs garlic powder
  • 2 tbs onion powder
  • 2 tbs Italian seasoning
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt/pepper

In each labeled on gallon freezer bag combined the following:

  • One  – 3 to 4 lb chuck roast
  • One – 12 oz jars of whole pepperoncini with the liquid
  • 1/2 large diced onion
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 1 tbs Italian seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt/pepper

Instructions

INSTANT POT COOKING DIRECTIONS:

  • Run cold water over the outside of your frozen gallon freezer bag to gently defrost the frozen food from the bag (enough to dump it out and release the food from the side of the frozen bag). Place meal in Instant Pot. Place lid on pressure cooker and seal the valve. Cook on manual high pressure for 45 minutes. Let pressure naturally release.
  • *Note the internal temp of your Italian Peppered Beef Roast. If the internal temp is not reached place back in IP for 10 minutes and check again. Because of the variables with pressure cooking, it’s not always a perfect science and sometimes needs additional adjustments. The USDA recommendations a minimum internal temperature of 16o degrees for beef.

SLOW COOKER COOKING DIRECTIONS:

  • For the slow cooker just set out your Italian Peppered Beef Roast the night before to defrost in the refrigerator.
  • The next day pull your Italian Peppered Beef Roast out of the freezer bag. Place it in your slow cooker and cook for 8-10 hours on low until meat can be shredded easily with a fork (slow cooker times may vary so always check the internal temperature to complete doneness). Serve with family favorite sides.
