Jamerrill’s Large Family Pantry, Refrigerator, and Freezer Tour
I’ve been asked many times for an updated tour of my large family style pantry, refrigerators, and freezers. You can see an old tour from about a year and a half ago in my very first once-a-month grocery haul vlog on YouTube (fun to watch and boy my hair looked good for having just had a baby and all, haha!). That was back at our beloved old farm house. In that video, you’ll see we had a small pantry, main kitchen refrigerator, old refrigerator in our laundry room, plus a used refrigerator and full freezer in our school room.
Updated Pantry, Refrigerator, and Freezer Tour
I filmed today’s updated Pantry, Refrigerator, and Freezer Tour right after I filmed my Once-a-Month Grocery Shopping Fill-in Aldi Haul (Extra Fruits, Veggies, Etc) $200/Family of Nine vlog. So if my face is hanging a little extra low, it’s because it was pushing mid-night and this momma was well-done. The pantry, refrigerators, and freezers were not as jam packed as they usually are after a huge once-a-month grocery shopping haul, this is a few weeks after one of those, but you’ll get the storage ideas.

At the new house, there’s a slightly different setup. As you’ll see in today’s updated Large Family Pantry, Refrigerator, and Freezer Tour we now have an updated pantry with some nice shelving. You’ll see lots of carbs 🙂 Taco Shells, Whole Wheat Noodles, Beans, Peanut Butter, Flours, Oatmeal, and so on.
Do I Currently Freeze Milk
In today’s video, I share the inside of all three refrigerators and talk again about how to freeze milk if needed. Speaking of which I had a mom ask me on Facebook today, “Interested in all the milk and almond milk that you buy at once. Do you freeze it? Do you freeze your fruits (bananas and such) before making your smoothies and do you make them ahead of time as well?”
My current freezing milk answer, “I use to freeze all of my milk when our family was a smaller size, and I could only truly get out once a month for big shopping. My full freezer died so at the moment I’m not freezing milk, but it’s very doable. At this time I buy about 10 or so gallons during my one huge haul. Then I pick up about another 10 gallons or so during my small fill-in haul, which is the post listed above. The milk is usually dated for use within two weeks without freezing. The almond milk is usually dated several weeks out; I don’t freeze that at the moment either.“
Also my freezing fruits answer, “Also, as far as the fruits, we eat the fruit that will perish quickly such as the bananas and berries first. Then fruits such as apples, oranges, clementines, those can be eaten a little later. Any bananas we don’t get to I do freeze for smoothies and easy banana bread for later in the month. Hope that helps!”
Large Family Freezer Tours
You’ll also see what’s left from my freezer cooking days from several weeks ago (if you’re interested here’s the Freezer Cooking Day | Large Family Style! {Pancakes, Sandwiches, Muffins, Cooking Meat for the Month!} and Freezer Cooking Day Two|Freezer Burritos, French Toast, Apple/Blueberry Muffins {with a towel on my head}.)
I still don’t have the proper freezer muffins recipes posted (I’m sorry to those who are asking), but I did get a BLUEBERRY BREAD RECIPE VIDEO posted to Instagram today. As I mention here, I make several loaves ahead and freeze those as well.
You will see my freezer peanut butter and jelly and freezer meat/cheese sandwiches in today’s video. Those are always such a life saver!
