Ingredients for Frozen Dough Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 pounds frozen bread dough, thawed
- brown sugar
- ground cinnamon
- butter
For the icing:
- heavy cream
- powdered sugar
- vanilla extract
How To Make your EASY Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
With your oven preheating, go ahead and grease your two 9×13 casserole dishes. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar and cinnamon until mixed well. Set this bowl aside.
On a lightly floured surface, roll each of your thawed dough into two large rectangles about 18×6 in. Using a spreading knife, spread the melted butter over the dough leaving one inch dry on one long side. Sprinkle your brown sugar mixture over the butter evenly.
Next, Roll up the dough beginning on one long side towards the other, pinching the seam to seal. Taking a serrated knife, cut the rolls starting at one end, into individual cinnamon rolls approximately 1-2 in thick. Transfer each of the rolls onto your prepared dish.
Once the rolls are all nestled into the pan, loosely cover the casserole dish and place in a draft-free location to rise until the cinnamon rolls have doubled in size, about 1 ½ hours. At this point, you’ll uncover and bake the cinnamon rolls for about 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for the icing and cover tightly to keep the icing from forming a thick crust.
When the cinnamon rolls are done, spread the icing over the top. Serve warm.
YOUR HOME WILL SMELL SO GOOD!
