Ingredients Needed to Make Oven Baked Chicken Thighs
Besides the chicken thighs, you’ll need a few other ingredients to make this delicious entree, including:
- Olive Oil. Apply the olive oil to both sides of your chicken thighs to get the seasoning to stick to them.
- Garlic Powder. Sprinkle garlic powder over your chicken thighs for flavor.
- Onion Powder. The onion powder adds more flavor and pairs perfectly with the garlic powder.
- Black Pepper. Add a slight hint of spice with a bit of black pepper.
The only other ingredients you’ll need are paprika and salt! It doesn’t take much to give these thighs their delicious flavor.
Do I need to use boneless chicken thighs?
You don’t need to use boneless chicken thighs, but you can use them if you want to. It’s fine for you to use bone-in thighs with the skin attached when you’re preparing these delicious Oven Baked Chicken Thighs for the family.
What do I do if I don’t have olive oil?
If you don’t have olive oil to rub on your chicken thighs before adding your spices, you can use vegetable oil, shortening, or a bit of butter as a rub.
How long does the chicken need to bake?
You should allow the chicken to bake for at least 45 minutes in the oven set to 400 degrees. It may take a bit longer for your chicken to cook, so be sure to check its internal temperature with your meat thermometer. The temperature on the meat thermometer needs to reach 165 degrees before you can safely remove the chicken from the oven and eat it.
What should I serve with the chicken thighs?
You can serve some of your favorite side dishes with these crisp and delicious Large Family Oven Baked Chicken Thighs. The meat tastes amazing when paired with homemade mashed potatoes, steamed baby carrots, roasted broccoli, and even creamed spinach. However, you can serve anything that you typically like to eat with chicken when you’re making this meal for your family to enjoy.
What can I do with the leftovers?
Store your leftovers in a food storage container and put the chicken in the fridge to keep it fresh. It should stay good for at least three days when kept in the fridge. You can reheat the chicken in the microwave, air fryer, or oven when you’re ready to eat it. You might also want to shred it with a hand mixer and make a chicken salad or one of my other chicken recipes using the leftovers.
