Easy Play Dough
One of the activities that has been on my homeschooling bucket list for this year is to make homemade play dough with the kids. I don’t know why it has taken me 10 years of homeschooling to finally make homemade play dough. But we did it, we conquered – and it was really easy (albeit messy) and fun.
You can see by the picture above that we even got slightly fancy and added glitter into some of the batches.
Easy Homemade Play DoughPrint
- Food coloring
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
- Simply add water, oil, cream of tartar, salt, and food coloring in to a pan. Heat mixture until warm.
- Remove from stove and add in flour.
- Stir and knead until smooth.
- Store this dough in a Ziploc bag or other storage container.
To add the glitter we just sprinkled it in during the kneading process.
