Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 cubed steaks
  • 4 (10 ¾ ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 (1 ounce) envelopes onion soup mix
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup cornstarch and ¼ cup water, for thickening

 


Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place all ingredients into the slow cooker EXCEPT the cornstarch and water for thickening.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

  4. Stir together the cornstarch and water. Remove the lid and add the slurry to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.

  5. Cover and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until the gravy is thickened.

  6. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.


Notes

How to freeze:  Place all ingredients EXCEPT the cornstarch and water for thickening in an airtight container or freezer bag. Freeze up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Transfer ingredients to the prepared slow cooker and follow the directions about to cook.
