You can shred your chicken into thin pieces in seconds by using a stand mixer or hand mixer.
How to Freeze the Chicken Pesto Tortellini Bake
Assemble the entire casserole, then cover it tightly with aluminum foil and freeze for up to 3 months. When you want to reheat it, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight. If you are using a glass baking dish, place it on the counter as the oven preheats. Remove the aluminum foil before baking. Follow the instructions below to bake.

- 3 (12 ounce) packages cheese tortellini, cooked according to package directions
- 6 cups cubed or shredded cooked chicken
- 2 (16 ounce) jars alfredo sauce
- 2 (8.1 ounce) jars prepared pesto sauce
- 1 (10 ounce) bag spinach, coarsely chopped
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- 4 cups shredded Italian blend cheese, divided
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare two 9×13 casserole dishes with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pasta, chicken, alfredo sauce, pesto sauce, and spinach. Transfer to the two casserole dishes, dividing evenly. Top with the grape tomatoes and cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese has melted.
