I love how simple it is as a dump and go crock pot meal. It is great on a tortilla, but try wrapping these beef tacos in lettuce leaves as a lower carb alternative!
What ingredients do I need for Crock Pot Sweet & Spicy Beef Tacos?
- 2 (3 pound) roast beef roasts, cut into large pieces
- Onion
- Garlic
- Jalapeno peppers
- Ginger
- Brown sugar and molasses
- Vinegar and sesame oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
For serving:
- Tortillas (or lettuce leaves for a lower carb choice!)
- Asian coleslaw mix
How do I prepare Crock Pot Sweet & Spicy Beef Tacos?
As I always say, you’ll want to spray the liner of your slow cooker first for a much easier clean up later!! Place all of your ingredients EXCEPT for the tortillas, lettuce leaves, and coleslaw into your slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 8-10 hours. When the slow cooker has done its job, shred the beef using two forks. To avoid making your tacos too wet and mushy, you can either drain the sauce before serving or serve with a slotted spoon. Serve on tortillas or lettuce leaves and top with coleslaw and any other favorite tacos toppings that your family love!
Can I freeze Crock Pot Sweet & Spicy Beef Tacos?
Sure you can! Just prepare all of your crock pot ingredients and store them in a freezer-safe container for up to six months. Thaw and reheat when you’re ready to serve them and serve them as directed!
Do you have more slow cooker recipes?
