Making the Cheeseburger Macaroni is easy as long as you have the right ingredients to make it. You should have:
- Ground Chuck. The ground chuck is perfect for offering that beefy flavor you would get from biting into a cheeseburger.
- Elbow Macaroni. Use elbow macaroni as the pasta for this dish.
- Beef Broth. Adding beef broth to the dish will keep it savory and moist instead of dry and flavorless.
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese. The shredded cheddar cheese makes your macaroni creamy and flavorful.
- Monterey Jack. Using Monterey jack is the perfect way to give your macaroni a unique taste as it blends in great with the ground chuck and cheddar cheese.
You will also need salt, pepper, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, tomato paste, and sour cream to prepare this fulfilling meal.

When you would like to save the Instant Pot Cheeseburger Macaroni because you have made a large batch and have some leftover, you should put it into a food container with an airtight lid. If you put it in the fridge, it stays good for up to four days.
If you need to save your cheeseburger macaroni a bit longer, put it in the freezer. You can expect it to continue to taste good as long as you reheat it within three months of freezing it. Make sure you know how long you have had it stored in the freezer by labeling it with the date.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
- 1 ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Using the saute mode, heat the electric pressure cooker until “hot.” Add the ground beef and onion, cooking until the beef is browned and crumbled. Drain well. Cancel the saute mode.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk together the garlic, dry mustard, worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and beef broth.

Return the beef to the pressure cooker and and top with elbow macaroni. Pour the beef broth mixture over the macaroni. Do not stir.

Place the lid on the electric pressure cooker and set the valve to sealing. Set the pressure cooker to “manual” or “pressure cook” for 5 minutes. Quick release the pressure when the cook cycle is complete.

Stir the sour cream and cheese into the pasta.

Serve topped with additional cheese or garnished with fresh parsley.
For the slow cooker:

In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and crumbled. Drain well.

In the slow cooker crock, stir together all ingredients EXCEPT the cheese and sour cream. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Stir the cheese and sour cream into the pasta and serve.
