Description

Make a meaty dish without all the extra carbs with this Low Carb Sausage and Pepperoni Casserole. It combines the flavor of three different types of meat to provide a comforting dish that tastes great.

 


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 2 pounds Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 (14 ounce) jars sugar free pizza sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

 


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare two 9 x 13 casserole dishes with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Cook the ground beef and italian sausage with the onion, crumbling the beef and sausage as it cooks. Drain well. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish.

  3. Over the meat, pour the pizza sauce and spread evenly.

  4. Top casserole with cheese and sliced pepperoni.

  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are bubbling.

Note: Add additional vegetables like mushrooms or bell pepper if desired.
