Last week I stayed up way past bedtime to make several breakfast freezer meals for my large family. We had a full-on homeschool day with nature hiking, tablework, hours of read alouds, and more. I was hoping to get started in the earlier evening but many of my plans don’t go as expected, for sure!

I wasn’t able to get started making these breakfast freezer meals until after 8:30 pm. And in full disclosure between doing all this freezer cooking, getting kids to bed, assembling these freezer meals and getting them in the freezer it was somewhere after 2 a.m. when I went to bed.
Yes, I’m a true wild woman who knows how to have a good time!!
Remember that many things take me longer because I also attempt to do food photography (ha, a joke, yes!) and I’m filming all of my freezer cooking for YouTube. If I had no interruptions or if I was cooking through one of my large family freezer meal packs, I would’ve been on more of an autopilot.
I also had some other excitement, to be expected. I ran out of gallon freezer bags. I was able to work around that for the most part by using my favorite freezer dishes (you can see more of my must-have freezer cooker supplies here!).
But sadly, while I was busy freezer cooking and filming several freezer meals on one counter, one of our new cats was busy eating the cooling homemade granola bars I had cooling on the other counter, sigh. I talked quite a bit about making homemade granola bars for the freezer in today’s new breakfast freezer meals video and THAT (the cat!) is what happened to the bars. Get’s filed under stuff you can’t make up.
