Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla
If you are a lot like me, you want a simple meal that everyone can eat for dinner. It is recipes like the Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla that make it possible to prepare a delicious meal in less than an hour. No matter who you make this recipe for, they are going to love it just as much as you will!
Preparing Your Filling for the Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla
The Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla consists of seasoned ground beef. You can use assorted seasonings, such as coriander and cumin, to give your beef that Mexican-style flavor that it needs to have to make this dish stand out.
- I sprinkle all the ingredients on my ground beef while browning it before adding any additional ingredients.
- While ground beef is my favorite to use, and it is what this recipe calls for, you can substitute it with ground chicken or ground turkey if you want to. Both ground turkey and ground chicken are leaner alternatives to ground beef.
- If you want to prepare the filling for your Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla even faster, use taco seasoning.
- I would recommend McCormick Taco Seasoning over all the other brands out there, but that is entirely up to you. If you have a seasoning preference, you can choose that option when seasoning your meat for your quesadillas.
Good Cheese Options to Use in the Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla
The lovely thing about making quesadillas is that you can use a lot of different types of cheeses. You can use the cheeses included in the recipe or switch them out with some of your favorites, such as a Mexican cheese blend, Gouda cheese, or Monterey Jack. I will usually use what I have in the fridge.
You can also buy a block of cheese and shred it down before adding it on top of the meat inside the tortillas. Some people like to add premade queso to their quesadillas. If you are one of those people, the premade queso would taste great with the Black Beans and Beef Quesadilla. The recipe itself calls for fiesta blend cheese, but we’re all about switching things up when needed.
