Ingredients Needed to Make the Homemade Chicken Nuggets

Prepare the Homemade Chicken Nuggets using the following ingredients:

  • Chicken Breast. Grab at least five pounds of chicken breast that you will chop into nugget pieces.
  • Flour. You will dip your chicken breast into the flour to create a coating for the nuggets.
  • Eggs. The egg mixture makes it easier for your flour to stick to the chicken.
  • Cornflake Cereal. Ground the cereal into tiny pieces before dipping your nuggets into it.

You will also need salt, pepper, and paprika to season these nuggets. It does not take too many ingredients to make these nuggets from scratch.

How Do I Cut the Chicken Into Nugget Shapes?

To make this delicious chicken meal, make it easier on yourself by cutting your chicken breast into nugget shapes with a sharp butcher knife or kitchen shears. You can buy vegetable cutters that come in different shapes and use them to chop into your chicken breast, making cute and fun shapes for the children.

How Long Do I Need to Cook the Nuggets?

After coating your chicken in flour and the corn flakes, you will need to put them in the oven and bake them for up to 25 minutes. Even if you are not planning to serve the nuggets, you still need to bake them before you store them.

How Do I Store Them?

Give your nuggets time to cool after removing them from the oven. Once they feel cool to the touch, you can put them in a large freezer bag or a food storage container. Be sure to add them in a single layer when placing them in a food storage container. You can separate layers with parchment paper if need be. Place the container full of the nuggets in the freezer. They will stay fresh when frozen for up to three months. When you would like to serve them, reheat the nuggets in your oven or air fryer to get them hot again.

What to Serve With Your Nuggets

You can serve the Large Family Simple Homemade Chicken Nuggets with cheesy hashbrowns potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and roasted broccoli. You may also want to offer dipping sauces to go with your nuggets when serving them to the family. These nuggets taste amazing with all kinds of sauces, including ketchup, barbecue sauce, and ranch. If you like a bit of spice, combine buffalo sauce with ranch sauce to create a flavorful dip to use with your nuggets.

  • 5 to 6 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into nuggets
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 7 eggs, beaten well

  2. Sift together the flour, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Mix the ground corn flakes with paprika. Add additional salt and black pepper, if desired.

  4. Set up a dredging station with the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another shallow dish, and the cornflakes in a third shallow dish.

  5. Flour the nuggets and then dip in the egg. Then dip the nuggets in the cornflakes before placing on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. When all of the nuggets are breaded, place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
