Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets
After experimenting with different ingredients, I created the perfect homemade hot pockets loaded with pepperoni, cheese, and pizza flavor. These hot pockets were a huge success because my kids loved them, but I must say that I enjoyed them just as much.
If you like pizza, you will love the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets. When I am eating them, I like to dip them in ranch, but you can eat them just the way they are because they are certainly not lacking in the flavor department.
The Ingredients You Need to Make Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets
You need to have the dough to create your Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets. Puff pastry works great, but you can choose any type of dough that you prefer, including one from scratch that you can make. Once you have your dough, you will need the ingredients to stuff inside it, such as the pepperoni slices, marinara sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
While I usually use mozzarella cheese, I have used a pizza blend bagged cheese in the past, and it was just as great. I like to throw a little Italian seasoning on top of the ingredients for added flavor, but you can skip that if you do not like it.
What to Add to Your Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets
I like keeping it simple with the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets, but you can always add extra ingredients into the pockets based on what you like to have on your traditional pizza slices.
You might want to add pieces of cooked bacon, black olives, sausage crumbles, sauteed mushrooms, or even pieces of pineapple to the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets. The great thing about this recipe is that you can add to it to customize it. Each pocket can get stuffed with some of your favorite pizza toppings.

How to Make-ahead and Store the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets
Keep the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets wrapped in plastic wrap and sealed in a food storage container. Put them in the fridge and eat within two days or freeze them and eat within two months.
When making the Pepperoni Pizza Hot Pockets, I like to prepare lots of extras and freeze them because my kids can heat them in the microwave for a few minutes. Once you start making these homemade hot pockets, your kids will not want to go back to eating the store-bought ones!
Easy Freezer Meal Directions
Once they are cooked in the oven, you can simply microwave them from the refrigerator and have them on the go. I have stored these hot pockets in the freezer for two to three months at a time. It is less time-consuming to make the hot pockets ahead of time, freeze a bunch, and then let the kids microwave them when they want to have them.
