Ingredients Needed to Make the Large Family Popcorn Cookies

You can make the Large Family Popcorn Cookies with these ingredients:

  • All-Purpose Flour. You will need to use all-purpose flour to create the dough for these cookies.
  • Vanilla Extract. The vanilla extract gives the cookies a sweeter taste.
  • Baking Soda. By using baking soda with your flour, you can make sure that your cookies turn out perfectly instead of too thin or too thick.
  • Popped Popcorn. Before mixing the popcorn, crush it down into pieces. We also have a fun Kool-Aid Popcorn snack you can make.
  • Semisweet Chocolate Chips. You can pick any brand of semisweet chocolate chips to add to your cookie dough.

Other ingredients to use when preparing these cookies include unsalted butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Be sure to check out my favorite cooking tools to be sure your kitchen is stocked.

How to Pack the Popcorn Cookies and Prevent Them From Getting Stale

After baking the Large Family Popcorn Cookies, you can remove them from the oven and serve them hot and fresh. They will taste great while they are still warm. However, you can store them and save them for later. If you are going to store the cookies, you should wrap them in plastic wrap and place them in a food storage container.

You can use a plastic, glass, or metal cookie container for storage purposes. You do not need to put your cookies in the fridge. Your cookies should stay soft and delicious for up to a week when sealed properly. If they start to get a bit hard, you can put them in a plastic bag with a slice of bread overnight to soften them up.

Different Ways to Prepare the Large Family Popcorn Cookies

Use different types of popcorn and chocolate chips to change the flavor of your Large Family Popcorn Cookies. You can use traditional butter popcorn or even kettle corn when preparing these cookies. Instead of using semisweet chocolate chips, you can use vanilla, dark chocolate, or even caramel chocolate chips in the cookies for a different taste. You might even want to add sprinkles to the mix. You can put sprinkles in the cookie dough and bake them in with the popcorn and chocolate chips or sprinkle them on top when the cookies are almost fully baked in the oven.

We have over 20 make-ahead cookie dough recipes. You might also like our low carb cookies such as our low carb Snickerdoodles, our low carb cheesecake, or our low carb peanut butter fudge.
