More Ways to Make Large Family Strawberry Trifle
This strawberry trifle is a great dessert just the way it is, but you may decide to try some other ways to make it. Variety is the spice of life! It also saves a lot of money to purchase fruits that are in season so it makes sense to use other fruit options or other fruits in addition to strawberries. You might want to add blueberries, bananas, peaches, or blackberries. Another option is to use different types of cakes between the layer. This recipe uses strawberry cake, but you can also make it with angel food cake, pound cake, or chocolate cake.

2 pounds strawberries, divided
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 (8 ounce) containers frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare a large (18×13) rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spritz the paper with nonstick cooking spray.
