Ingredients Needed to Make the Bread Machine Potato Bread
You will need specific ingredients to make the Bread Machine Potato Bread other than the bread machine itself. The required ingredients include:
- Bread Flour. The most important ingredient to add to your bread machine is the bread flour.
- Milk. Heat your milk to 110 degrees before mixing it in with other ingredients.
- Water. You will need to heat the water to the same temperature as the milk.
- Instant Potato Flakes. Add some instant potato flakes in the mix. You can use any brand of potato flakes.
- Bread Machine Yeast. Get your bread to rise with bread machine yeast. If you do not have it, you can use active dry yeast.
Other ingredients needed include sugar, salt, and oil. You can use canola, vegetable, or any other type of oil.
How to Store the Potato Bread
Slice your bread into individual servings. Wrap each slice individually or wrap them together like you would find bread at the local grocery store. Use plastic wrap when covering your potato bread to keep it fresh. After adding a layer of plastic wrap over the bread, consider putting a layer of foil on top to keep the bread from getting stale. You can put your potato bread in a bread box and leave it in a cool, dry area.
Is It Possible to Freeze the Potato Bread?
You can refrigerate the potato bread or put it in the freezer before or after you bake it. If you plan to freeze it before baking it, you should do that before the final rise in the bread machine. Allow it to reach room temperature and double in size before you bake it once you are ready to bake it after it’s been frozen. You will notice it rising over the span of several minutes, but be sure to give it a bit of extra time to rise to its fullest potential.
To bake it first, bake as usual, then allow it to cool completely. Then wrap in plastic and place it in a freezer bag and store it in the freezer. You can also slice it before you freeze it.
What to Make with Your Potato Bread
Once you prepare the Large Family Bread Machine Potato Bread, you can put anything on it that you would like. It tastes great with tuna salad, chicken salad, and lunchmeat. You can use the bread to make flavorful grilled cheese sandwiches and PB&J for the freezer for your children. You can even use slices of potato bread to prepare French toast, French Toast Sticks, or Uncrustables for the family. If you want to keep it simple, you can slice a piece of the bread and cover it with apple butter, peanut butter, or peach butter.
