Ingredients Needed to Make the Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread

Make the Banana Bread with minimal ingredients, including the following:

  • All-Purpose Flour. Use the all-purpose flour to create the base for the banana bread.
  • Baking Soda. The baking soda helps the bread rise, and it gives it that fuller appearance.
  • Mashed Ripe Bananas. Use ripe mashed bananas to give this bread the perfect sweet banana taste.
  • Cinnamon. Adding a small amount of cinnamon will enhance the flavor of the bread even more. I also have a cinnamon swirl banana bread.
  • Vanilla. Give your banana bread a light hint of vanilla by adding just a teaspoon of it to your banana bread.

You will also need unsalted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, salt, applesauce if you plan to make it dairy-free, and water. You will get to make the best Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread you have ever tasted with these ingredients. Most of my baked goods are easy to make so be sure to check them out!

What to Add to Your Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread

Although the Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread is fantastic just the way it is, you can add more to it to make it even better. Some great additions for the banana bread include mini chocolate chip morsels, chopped peanuts, chopped macadamia nuts, peanut butter, or even cream cheese. You can add whatever you would like to the recipe to give this banana bread even more flavor. Once you make it, you can serve it for breakfast or offer it to your children when they want a healthy and delicious snack between one of their meals.

Tips on Properly Storing and Freezing the Banana Bread

You can store and freeze the Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread if you want to prepare the recipe in advance and then have plenty of slices available for each person at home to eat.

You can store it whole by wrapping it in plastic wrap after you bake it then placing it in a zipper bag. If you prefer to have one slice at a time, then it is far better to slice the banana bread down into pieces and then wrap those pieces in plastic wrap before putting them in a plastic bag in the freezer. You can keep the banana bread slices frozen for up to three months, which is great if you know that your loved ones run through it because they love to eat it often.

Learn to prepare delicious banana bread easier than before with this simple Large Family Instant Pot Banana Bread recipe. It is moist, flavorful, and easy to prepare within minutes, leaving you with the perfect family treat.

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened (replace butter with Applesauce for Dairy-free option)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup water, to bring electric pressure cooker to pressure

  1. Prepare a 7.5 inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray. (Any cake pan that will fit into the electric pressure cooker will work but cooking time might vary slightly depending on the thickness of the batter.)
  2. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Set aside.

  3. In a mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy.

  4. Stir together the bananas, eggs, and until well blended. Add to the butter and sugars. Mix well.

  5. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat together just until combined. Do not overmix. The batter will be somewhat thick.

  6. Transfer the batter to the springform pan and smooth evenly.

  7. Cover the springform pan with aluminum foil and place on a trivet with handles (or create a sling using aluminum foil.)

  8. Pour water into the liner of the electric pressure cooker. Carefully lower the trivel into the liner.

  9. Program the electric pressure cooker for 50 minutes on manual or “pressure cook.” When the cook cycle is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure. Remove the lid and carefully use a towel to remove the liquid from the top of the aluminum foil.

  10. Lift the trivet from the pressure cooker and remove the aluminum foil from the springform pan. Allow the bread to rest until any water that has accumulated on the top of the bread has absorbed or dried.

  11. To serve, release the springform pan sides and cut the bread into wedges.

*Replace butter with applesauce for a dairy-free option.
