What You Will Need to Make the Instant Pot Spiced Chicken Noodle Soup
When you are ready to make this wholesome soup and add it to your large family menu, be sure to have these important ingredients at home:
- Shredded Chicken. You can pre-cook your chicken in the instant pot and shred it into pieces using a stand mixer. You might prefer to buy a rotisserie chicken and shred it down.
- Onion. Chop your onion into small pieces before adding it to your Instant Pot.
- Carrots. Slice carrots into small pieces and measure at least two cups of them. Try making steamed carrots in the instant pot with your leftover carrots.
- Cubed Potatoes. You can peel the potatoes or leave the skin on.
- Garlic. Add two cloves of minced garlic to your Instant Pot for added flavor.
- Chicken Stock. Use any brand of chicken stop for your soup or use the broth from making chicken in the instant pot.
- Chicken Broth. You will need as much stock as broth. You can use any brand of chicken broth.
- Sazon Goya. Add one packet of Goya sazon to add both flavor and color.
There are a few other ingredients you will need, including olive oil, tomato paste, salt, dried oregano, pepper, lemon juice, water, and dried angel hair pasta. Be sure to stock your kitchen with my recommended tools, too!
What to Eat With Your Spiced Chicken Noodle Soup
Soup is always better when you have freshly made bread to dip in it and soak up all that tasty broth. You can serve the Instant Pot Spiced Chicken Noodle Soup with a side of crispy French bread, Honey wheat Bread, my homemade White Bread, or White Bread without Yeast. If you prefer rolls, I have Classic Dinner Rolls and Corn Bread if you’re really looking for a tasty treat.
You might want to add French fried onions on top of the soup for added flavor and a bit of a crunch. If you would like to include more vegetables into the soup, add a bag of frozen peas and corn into the Instant Pot while you prepare it.

When you want a soothing, dairy-free meal that will keep your family warm, prepare the Large Family Instant Pot Spiced Chicken Noodle Soup. It is an easy recipe that leaves you with plenty of soup to go around.
3 cups shredded chicken
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups sliced carrots
3 cups cubed potatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 cups chicken stock or broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 packet sazon goya
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, juiced
½ box (8 ounces) dried angel hair pasta, broken into 2 to 3 inch pieces
1 to 2 cups water, if desired
Heat the electric pressure cooker using the “saute” function until “hot.”
Add the olive oil, carrots, potatoes, and onion to the electric pressure cooker. Cook about 2 to 3 minutes or until the vegetables begin to soften. Stir in the garlic.
Add the chicken, broth, tomato paste, sazon packet, salt, oregano, and black pepper to the electric pressure cooker and stir.
Cover and set the valve to sealing. Program the electric pressure cooker using the “manual” or “pressure cook” setting on high pressure for 6 minutes. Allow the pressure cooker to naturally release the pressure for 5 minutes before releasing any remaining pressure.
Cancel the “keep warm” setting and activate the “saute” function.
Stir in the lemon juice and pasta. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until the pasta is al dente. Add additional water if necessary to maintain your preferred consistency.
This recipe serves approximately 10-12 people assuming you have mostly younger children in your large family. If your large family is mostly teens and adults, you will want to double this recipe and use two Instant Pots to make it. A double recipe will not fit into one instant pot.
